Museum for all
Summary ▽
For some children, public spaces can feel overwhelming, with colors, movement and unexpected noises. This interaction therefore proposes to rethink the design of museums to turn them into welcoming spaces, capable to trigger curiosity instead of anxiety for neurodivergent children.
Space design students, trained through VR simulations, expert-led sessions and discussions with special education guidance counsellors, entered a 2.5-month design sprint to propose alternative designs for an exposition, taking into account the needs of neurodivergent children. The best designs, selected by a jury were then showcased in a public event featuring a scientific conference.

Nature-Based-Solutions for coastal resilience and marine biodiversity
Summary ▽
Seagrass beds play a vital role in supporting coastal resilience and providing ecosystem services throughout the Mediterranean Sea. However, they are severely impacted by human activities, and the public often lacks awareness of how they function and the importance of protecting them—such as leaving Posidonia seagrass blankets undisturbed on the shore during winter. Limiting the pressures and damage to the Posidonia meadow is essential and the involvement of various stakeholders, especially the public, is vital.
The interaction was held during the Ocean’s Science Festival in Nice, targeting the larger public and school children. It took the form of an exhibit.
